Cypress – Contemporary Endodontics

Dr. Nikhil Reddy was born and raised in Houston. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science. Dr. Reddy then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Afterward, he continued his training at the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency in San Antonio. His passion for endodontics drove him to pursue a career as a dental specialist and completed his Postgraduate program of Endodontics The University of Alabama at Birmingham under the decorated guidance of Dr. Paul Eleazer. While attending the program, he had the honor of treating patients at the Birmingham VA for one year. He then practiced in Denver, Colorado before moving back to Houston to be closer to family.

Dr. Nikhil Reddy is currently an active member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontics, the Greater Houston Dental Society, and Texas Dental Society. He believes in the highest of quality care for his patients with a conservative approach. He strives in having an honest relationship with each patient, with a delicate balance of appreciation, empathy, communication, and clinical excellence.

On his days away from the office, Dr. Nikhil Reddy enjoys spending his time with family and friends, whether it’s exploring the great outdoors or lounging on the couch with Netflix. He loves all things sports related and is an avid fan of the Longhorns and our Houston teams. However, his biggest passion is music, from playing instruments or attending the many live shows that Houston has to offer.

Dr. David S. Wan grew up in Houston, Texas. He attended the University of Texas in Austin, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He matriculated into the University of Texas Houston Dental Branch and graduated in the top of his class. He continued his education at UTDB and was awarded his specialty certificate in Endodontics and a Masters in Science.

Dr. Wan has received extensive specialty training in diagnosis, root canal treatment, and microsurgery. He utilizes cutting-edge technologies and advanced techniques in root canal therapy. His armamentarium includes the use of the surgical microscope, rotary instrumentation, ultrasonics, thermoplasticized obturation, and Cone-beam computed tomography.

Upon graduation from his endodontic training, Dr. Wan was an associate in private practice in Dallas, TX before returning back to his roots in Houston, TX where he started Contemporary Endodontics in the Fall of 2010. Dr. Wan understands patients’ anxiety associated with root canal therapy. He has extensive training in conscious sedation to help provide a comfortable experience for his patients. He has created a tranquil environment in the practice setting with the number one goal of maintaining patient comfort. He has performed over 10,000 root canal procedures and surgeries to date and continues to remain very passionate in the field of endodontics.

Dr. Wan is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, and he is also a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. He enjoys spending quality time with his wife Angelina and two sons; Aiden and Ashton.
